TMTPOST -- AIsphere, a Beijing-based artificial intelligence startup, on Tuesday unveiled PixVerse R1, the world ’ s first universal real-time world model capable of generating 1080P video instantly, marking a dramatic shift in AI-generated content ( AIGC ) from pre-recorded production to dynamic, interactive video experiences.

The announcement, made at a high-profile launch event in the Chinese capital, positions AIsphere at the forefront of next-generation AI video technology. Unlike traditional AI video workflows, which require minutes — or even longer — for rendering, PixVerse R1 allows users to see immediate results, enabling real-time co-creation and interactive storytelling.

Historically, video generation has suffered from long latency periods, forcing creators to wait for back-end rendering before viewing results. This asynchronous process often disrupted creative flow and limited interactivity. PixVerse R1 eliminates this delay, leveraging its proprietary Instant Response Engine ( IRE ) to compress the 50-plus sampling steps typical in traditional diffusion models into just 1 – 4 steps, producing perceptible results almost instantly.

"The launch of PixVerse R1 ends the era of waiting," said Wang Changhu, founder and CEO of AIsphere. "What you imagine is what you see, what you say is what appears. Video is no longer a finished product — it is a co-creative, interactive digital world."

PixVerse R1 introduces a streaming generation mechanism, enabling users to issue new instructions mid-video. For instance, a creator can modify lighting, background, or character actions in real time without regenerating the entire scene. The model also synchronizes audio and visuals, matching ambient sounds like rainfall or wind to the generated imagery, enhancing the cinematic quality of the content.

Three Pillars of Technology

AIsphere attributes PixVerse R1 ’ s capabilities to its proprietary "Real-Time Interactive World Engine," which integrates three core technologies:

Omni Native Multimodal Foundation Model – Unlike conventional multimodal systems, this model integrates text, images, audio, and video into a unified generative sequence at native resolution. It ensures consistent lighting, movement, and object interactions, simulating a realistic virtual world rather than generating static images.

Consistent Infinite Streaming via Autoregressive Mechanism – This technology maintains temporal and logical consistency over long video sequences. Users can modify content at any point, with the model dynamically adapting to preserve character identities, object states, and environmental logic.

Instant Response Engine ( IRE ) – IRE dramatically reduces computation steps, allowing instantaneous feedback while supporting high-concurrency API deployment. It underpins PixVerse R1 ’ s ability to operate on human-perceptible timeframes and promises future integration with end-user devices.

Together, these technologies enable PixVerse R1 to deliver real-time 1080P generation, transforming video into an interactive, evolving medium rather than a static product.

Wang said PixVerse R1 bridges the gap between creation and consumption, turning viewers into active participants. In gaming, NPCs and environments can evolve based on player input, while in film, audiences can alter storylines and visuals through voice commands or gestures. The model ’ s capabilities also extend to productivity applications, including scientific simulation, e-commerce livestreaming, and instant content remastering.

"The interactive nature of PixVerse R1 represents a fundamental shift in storytelling," Wang said. "Video is no longer something you watch — you play with it, reshape it, and co-create it in real time."

Since its founding in April 2023, AIsphere has quickly expanded its global footprint. The company reports over 100 million users and 16 million monthly active users ( MAU ) , with annual recurring revenue exceeding $40 million. Its open API has enabled more than 100 partners worldwide to generate over 10 million videos across sectors including B2B advertising, gaming, and B2C creative content.

Investors have taken notice. In September 2025, AIsphere closed a Series B funding round exceeding $60 million led by Alibaba, alongside Fortune Capital, Shenzhen Capital Group, and Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund. The following month, a B+ round raised an additional 100 million RMB, providing resources for computationally intensive real-time modeling and solidifying AIsphere as a key player in Alibaba ’ s large model investment portfolio.

Analysts say the release of PixVerse R1 signals a broader industry shift from static AI tools to performance-driven, interactive models. "We are moving from subscription-based or tool-oriented products to AI systems that deliver measurable results and immersive experiences," said Lian Hua, an independent AI industry analyst in Beijing. "The real-time, interactive capabilities of PixVerse R1 set a new benchmark for competitors."

Wang emphasized that the company ’ s focus is on "low-barrier, high-return" content creation for global markets, particularly in regions like the U.S. and Europe, where creator monetization is more straightforward. He added that the domestic market remains secondary until AI systems can guarantee end-to-end commercial results.

AIsphere ’ s rapid ascent owes much to Wang ’ s leadership and experience. Prior to founding the company, he directed ByteDance ’ s AI Lab and led visual technology development for Douyin and TikTok. His team includes experts in AI engineering, multimodal model development, agentic technologies, and platform-based business architecture, ensuring a blend of technical prowess and market insight.

The company ’ s technological framework positions it as an infrastructure provider for interactive digital worlds, supporting both entertainment and practical applications across industries. From real-time simulation of complex scenarios to immersive e-commerce experiences, AIsphere aims to redefine how humans engage with video content.

With PixVerse R1, AIsphere is setting its sights on becoming the "audiovisual infrastructure for the AGI era." The company plans to expand user acquisition globally through influencer-driven campaigns, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. Analysts note that if successful, AIsphere could redefine not only content creation but also the broader media and AI ecosystems.

"The release of a real-time world model is a watershed moment for AI video generation," Lian said. "AIsphere has not just created a tool — it has created a platform for interactive, co-evolving digital experiences that could transform entertainment, gaming, and professional content production."

As the AI video generation sector continues to evolve, AIsphere ’ s combination of technical innovation, user adoption, and strategic capital positions it to lead the next wave of interactive media.
